FLOWER POWER | EDIBLE ART

Inspired by the natural beauty of flowers and colour – join our fun, joyful & purposeful kids art workshop.

VENUE: NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR JEWISH WOMEN

DATE: FRIDAY 18 DECEMBER

TIME: 8.45AM TO 12.30PM

Ayla is a gorgeous, courageous 8 year old who was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2019. Part of her healing journey has been to connect through her love for colour, painting and art. Every week she would get together with her art teacher and they would paint. The idea was to paint the A – Z of flowers.

At first they painted through live art classes at home and then when COVID-19 hit the classes were done via ZOOM.

Each week they would be inspired by the beauty of just one flower. They explored the meaning of that flower, where it originated from and the nature of that specific flower.

This took them on an exciting, mindful, healing and learning experience.
